
Lakiheddy Hanimiredy Government College, Melavaram, associated with Krishna University, was sanctioned by the Central Grant of £ 31.5 through Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF).
In his statement issued on Tuesday, June 24), Director of the University of I. Ravi stated that the amount was sanctioned for performing a research project on the “biological diversity of orchids from Eastern Ghats India, referring to molecular and phytochemical characterization” from the main investigator JJ Ramudu, a lect on a botany.
Dr. Ramuda said that through this research project, the study of orchid plants available in the forests of the Eastern Ghats of Andhra Pradesh, along with medicinal chemicals, will be studied through biomedicine through biochemistry.
The duration of the project has been three years and research will benefit humanity by studying orchids.
