Days after the former leader of the MLA and BJP Sutesh Rathhore publicly announced that he married his long -term partner Urmila Sanawar, without divorcing his wife Ravindra Kaur, Uttarakhand BJP on Monday (June 23, 2025).
The alleged “second marriage” of Mr. Rathhor came at a time when the state was adopted by the Single Civil Code (UCC) at the beginning of this year, which has strict rules for marital relations.
BJP spokesman Manvir Chauhan told Hindu that the party had issued a announcement to Mr. Rathhore after observing his undignified behavior, especially through media and social media platforms.
“Your statement and behavior harm the social and moral image of the party. Your activities clearly fall under the non -discipline of the party,” the statement of the State Secretary General BJP Rajendra Bishht 23. June.
The announcement ordered Mr. Rattor to submit a written explanation within seven days.
According to informed sources, Mr. Rathhore has already met the Chief of Mahendry Bhatt on Monday and submitted a written answer on his part. Mr. Chauhan refused to comment on the meeting, but said that the party would call a notice after discussions with the office leaders.
The acceptance of his marriage with Mrs. Sanar, actor, Mr. Rathhore at a press conference at the beginning of this month, said it took him a long time to decide the right time to open a relationship that had seen huge controversy in the past.
Mr. Rathhore, who won from Jawalapur in 2017, lost the elections in 2022 to Congress’s Ravi Bahadur. Before joining politics, he ran a cult on behalf of “Ravidas Akhara”.
