Former Captain of England, Nasser Hussain, did not pull his strikes when he released his rating of the first SHUBMAN GILL game as the captain of the test in the Leeds series. The Indian team suffered five goals, although it was for most of the match.

Another key point of criticism concerning Captain Gill was the lack of initiative received in dictating the conditions of the game. Hussain believes that Gill largely looked like someone who rode the wave, unlike the production of his own waves.

Indian pitchs looked toothless and Jasprit Bumrah was their only main threat. The rest of the bowling attack may have occasionally taken some goals, but tried to assert himself as a real threat, a key aspect that led to Indian defeat.
One of the biggest disappointments with the ball was Ravindra Jadeja, experienced versatile. Although he had so many games under the belt, Southpaw lacked the clarity of understanding the conditions that could be used, especially in the second phase of accessories.
