Israel killed at least 14 Iranian scientists in an unprecedented attack on the brain behind the Iranian nuclear program, said Israeli ambassador to France Joshua Zarka at the beginning of this week. He also explained why these scientists were killed.
Ambassador Zarka told Associated Press on Monday that Israeli strikes were killed by at least 14 physicists and nuclear engineers, the best Iranian scientific leaders who “had essentially everything in his mind”.
They were killed “not because they knew physics, but because of the fight they were personally involved, creatures and production and production and production (a) nuclear weapons,” he quoted.
Zarka, an ambassador, distinguished between civilian research and scientists focused on Israel. “It’s one thing to learn physics and know exactly how the core of the atom works and what is uranium,” he said.
But turning uranium into the heads that fit on the missiles is not “so simple”, he said. “These people had the know-how, as they did, and they developed know-how. And were therefore excluded.”
Chemists, physics, engineers among the killed
Nine out of 14 scientists were killed in the opening wave of Israeli attacks 13. June, the Israeli army said.
He added that “they had decades of accumulated experience in the development of nuclear weapons” and included specialists in chemistry, materials and explosives and physics.
On Tuesday, Iranian State Television announced the death of another Iranian nuclear scientist Mohammad Reza Sedighi Saber, in an Israeli strike, after survived an earlier attack that killed his seventeen -year -old son on June 13.
Will the Israeli attacks brake the Iranian nuclear program?
In an interview with the Associated Press, an Israeli ambassador, he claimed that killing would cause Iran to “almost” impossible to build weapons from any nuclear infrastructure and material that could survive almost two weeks of Israeli air strikes and massive bombs that fell by US bombers.
“The fact that the whole group has disappeared is basically thrown by a (Iranian nuclear) program for several years, for several years,” said Ambassador Joshua Zarka.
However, nuclear analysts claim that Iran has other scientists who can replace their place. According to AP, experts say that only Iranian nuclear program can return such attacks, but not stop it.
“Negotiated solutions”
European governments reportedly stated that the military force itself cannot eradicate Iranian nuclear know-how, and therefore want negotiated solutions concerning the Iranian program to rest.
“The strikes cannot destroy the knowledge that Iran has acquired in a few decades, nor any ambitions of the regime to deploy this knowledge to build a nuclear weapon,” said British Foreign Minister David Lammy in the Chamber of Deputies.
Iran has long claimed that his nuclear program has been a peaceful and US intelligence agencies have assessed that Tehran does not actively perform a bomb. Israeli leaders, however, claimed that Iran could quickly assemble a nuclear weapon.
