The class 10 student was killed in the village of SengiliDam near the town of Ambur in Tirupattura on Tuesday after the walls of the house collapsed when he tried to demolish him.
The deceased student was identified as E. Vetri (14). After his father’s death, Vetri lived with his mother E. Sarith (38) in the village for many years. He studied class ten at a government of a high school in Ambur.
The initial question revealed that the mother and son lived in a stunned covered house for many years. The confused one room structure was leaking and damaged. As a result, they decided to rebuild the house.
The workers were engaged to demolish the structure. After returning from school, Vetri tried to demolish part of the wall of the house when a brick structure suddenly collapsed. Died in place.
Based on the Ambur Taluk police warning, the Taluk inspected this place and registered the case. The police said the region has witnessed a sudden downpour in the last few days. Such a sudden rain would weaken a dilapidated structure.
