On Monday, the state government announced a new license fee for water, distillery and breweries by reducing the annual increase in fees by 50%. She also announced a five -year license for the liqueur selling equipment, now from a one -year license in Vogue.
Previously, the government announced a new regime of license fees by doubled the fee and drew the anger of stakeholders. The revision was after nine years. However, after several petitions and protests of spirits dealers, the government reduced the hike by 50%.
“Although we have applied for a total refund of an increase by a license fee, it has decreased by 50%. We feel better than 100% increase. We will find that we will continue to fight our other requirements for five years,” said B. Govindraj Hegde, General Secretary of the Federation Merchants Association, Karnataka.
He also said that they expect the government to provide sales stone liquid owners to pay a license fee.
