(Bloomberg) – The Ecuador’s government offered a $ 1 million reward on Monday for information leading to the re -capture of the drug Lord Roland Federic Gomez after escaping from Guayaquil’s prison masked in military uniform to pass the control points unlimited.
President Daniel Nobo described a man colloquially known as Fed as a military destination after his escape on Friday. His escape “was not negligence, it was a participation,” the president said on Saturday in the X post, adding that the stiff recent legislation would be applied to a refugee. The Office of the General detained 19 soldiers, two prison guards and prisoners in the middle of his initial investigation.
Fede, who faced murder murder, drug trafficking, and weapons trafficking as an alleged Las Aguilas gang leader, was one of the highest detained in the NOBOA inner war in drug trafficking.
Ecuador comes from his most announced first quarter. The murder now complements 13 per 100,000 inhabitants, while last year they held under 10 and in 2023, even though the crime appeared sharply. Noboa launched an internal conflict after the escape of a convicted drug Adolfo Macias, aka Fito, who remains freedom.
Fede was first arrested during a party at a country farm west of Guayaquil in May 2024 and controversially released by a judge who decided not to be a flight risk. On January 30, he was again arrested in Dula, also near Guayaquil, a centers of violent crime, because drug traders targeted transport containers in their port facilities to cocaine exports.
