
Rural police Ernakulam made further arrest in connection with the incident, when the car was reportedly succeeded through the feet of the sub-inspector before it accelerated to avoid the team of the police vehicle in Kadalikkad near Muvattatuzha 14 June.
ASIF, 24, from Thodupuzha. He was the second accused in this case and has been on the run since then. According to the police, he was in the front passenger seat.
Prime accused, Muhammad Shareef, originally from Vazhathope in Idukki, but currently living in a rented house in Anikkad near Muvttupuzha, surrendered before the court court Muvattatuzha first class.
According to the police, Shareef was accused of several cases, including cases of NDPS recorded by the police and consumer department. The police suspect that he was under the influence of drugs at the time of the incident.
Rural police also arrested two people – Shahid, 27 years, and Rafsal, 24, from Erattupetta – on the basis of winding for charging when escaping. After calling them, they reportedly lifted the accused in the car.
The injured officer Em Muhammed, a sub-in-inspector attached to the police station in Kallo-champad underwent a broken foot surgery. The incident occurred when the police team signaled the car to stop, and the driver was reportedly trying to avoid checking, accelerated and rode the officer’s legs, causing it to collapse.
The police registered a reason for attempting to murder and defending a civil servant to release his duty.
