Sakal Hindu Samai, a consortium of various organizations, announced a mass protest against sexual assault on a minor in Nandikur Tanda on the edge of Kalaburagagi on Tuesday.
Members of Samaja Divya Hagaragi and Ramchandra Jadhav, who address the press on Sunday, said that religious heads of various mutts, communities and several organizations will join the protest march from Jagat Circle to the deputy commissioner.
Mrs. Hagaragi urged citizens to unite for the “security of our daughters”.
She said the accused, Wasem Shaikh, sexually attacked a smaller girl from Nandikur Tandy three weeks ago.
Later, the accusation, along with their parents and relatives, threw themselves into the victim’s house and bothered the parents of the girl using an abusive language and even forced them to get their daughter with Wase Shaikh, she said.
The case was filed as part of the prevention of children from sexual offenses (POCSO) at the Gulbarg University police station.
