
Members of the BH community urged the main Minister Siddaraiaha and the Deputy Minister of DK Shivakumar, who is also the head of the Karnataka Pradesh (KPCC) Congress Committee to nominate his community member for the legislation.

He called on Mr. Siddaramaiah and Mr. Shivakumar to recognize the commitment of the Bh community and nominate their member for the Council.
Of the 75 members in the Legislative Council, 25 are elected by local authorities and another 25 members of the Legislative Assembly. While seven others are elected from election districts of graduates, another seven are elected from teachers’ constituencies. Another 11 members are nominated by the governor on the recommendation of the government.
