Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar attended the swearing-in ceremony of senior Congress leader VD Satheesan in Kerala on Monday (May 18).

Several senior Congress leaders from various states were present at the event which attracted a large gathering of party workers and supporters.

Mr. Shivakumar received a warm response from the crowd during the program when slogans of “DK, DK” appeared on stage. The cheering continued for a short time before proceedings resumed.

Party sources said Karnataka leaders held talks with senior Kerala Congress functionaries on the sidelines of the event.
