The former President of the Indian Criket Council (BCCI), after completion of the term of office as Chairman of the Board of Directors, dropped into coaching. He was in a mentor role with the party of Delhi Capitals, both in the men team and in the women’s team.
Under his leadership, Delhi Capitals achieved the female Premier League final, but lost against the Indians in Mumbai.
“I got into various roles. After completing I became president (CAB), then the Chairman of the Board of Directors (BCCI). I never had time. But we’ll see what the future has. I am only 50 and I am open.
Ganguly talks about Gambhir
The former player was also asked to evaluate the term Gautam Gambhira on the Indian side. So far, Gambhir had with the Indian team Topsy-Turvy. While he won the Champions Trophy 2025, under Gambhir coaching, India fits unfortunately into the test cricket.
The gangules pointed out the same and said that, like any other person, Gambhir would also learn at work.
“He’s doing a good job. He started a little slowly, lost with Australia and New Zealand. But he got up with the masters trophies, and this series of England would be great for him,” Ganguly responded to Gautam Gambhir.
“I didn’t see him so close. But he’s very passionate. I didn’t see the strategy closely because I never worked with him. I played with him and he was a great man when we played together. He had a lot of respect for me and seniors,” he said.
“I see him now. He’s very passionate. He’s very simple. He’s open about everything and says things – people, team, players.
