Minister of Health Veen George said that local self -governing bodies reaching Samporna yoga (complete integration of yoga) would gain special recognition for their efforts. This step, she said, is intended to inspire other local bodies and support the extensive acceptance of yoga practitioners at local levels.
The Minister started on Saturday online Yoga International Yoga Day at the International Day of Yoga, which took place in Thrissur. The aim of the state is to transform all Panchayata, municipalities and corporations into fully integrated yoga zones, with the final goal to set up Keral as a State of Samporna Yoga.
She noted that Kerala brought yoga special importance and implemented measures to integrate into everyday life. “More than 10,000 yoga clubs have been established throughout this effort, and in each Panchayat there are steps to establish at least one yoga club.
The provisions on training and promotion of yoga through Ayush Centers and wellness programs, including yoga, were also made in cooperation with human health centers and community health clubs, said.

Kerala with the highest life expectancy in the country and leads to the lowest level of mortality and infants in medical indicators. However, lifestyle disease and the growing level of morbidity remain significant challenges. The state has taken over several initiatives to solve these problems and yoga is considered a vital tool in improving physical and mental health, the minister noted. “Yoga is not just a practice, but about the way of life and culture, and everyone should be part of it,” the minister said.
The office was chaired by the collector of the Thrissur district Arjun Pandian. Various Ayush Yoga clubs introduced a demonstration of mass yoga. Reni MK, medical officer of Naturopathy yoga, Ayurveda Hospital in the district of Rama Varma, Thrissur, delivered a day report.

Sajith Babu; Ayurveda Medical Education Director TD Sreekumar; District physician ISM AGNES Cletus; Ayush Mission State Program Manager R. Jayanarayanan; District Program Manager NHM P. Suev Kumar; and District Manager of the Ayush Mission Program Nikhila Narayanan.
