
In a positive step to promoting palliative care based on Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (its) in cooperation with Mysore Medical College and Research Institute (MMC & RI), volunteer care in every house in every house.
The aim of the program is to equip citizens with basic skills and knowledge needed to care for an individual suffering from diseases limiting life in the home environment. The training, which is free and open to the public, will be carried out on June 26 from 10:00 to 17:00 in Palliative Care Center, PKTB and CD Hospital on KRS Road in Mysur.
Training includes modules on the basics of palliative care, pain and symptoms, communication and emotional support, end care for life and domestic nursing skills. Upon completion, the participants will receive a certificate of participation.
“Our vision is to ensure that each household has at least one trained individual – Jeeva Sevak – which can support seriously or chronically ill and older people at home,” he told his press release.
The training is open to youth, students, domestic creators, retirement individuals and anyone with the desire to serve, without previous medical experience, added edition.
Since 2011, palliative care has been part of the medical services with its own and has supported more than 10,000 families over the years. The program emphasizes a holistic approach that deals with physical, emotional, psychological, social and spiritual needs of patients.
