On Saturday morning, train services connecting Sakleshpur and Subrahmanya were disrupted after boulders fell on the track between Yedakumari and Shirabagil stations due to heavy rains in western Ghats.
The main staff noticed boulders on the track around 4.23 hours on Saturday. The services of three trains were disturbed. Officials stopped the Bengaluru-Kannur Express train (16511) at the Kadagaravalli station. Similarly, Bengaluru-Murudeshwara Express (16585) and Vijayapura-Mangaluru Central (07377) were stopped at Sakleshpur. Officials arranged for breakfast and tea for stuck passengers.

Huge boulders fell on the track in more places. Officials sent a material car to clean the track, and the settlement lasted five hours, which the officials certified the track to run with a speed limit of 20 km / HV 9.10 in the morning later, the train services continued.
Several parts of Sakleshpur Taluk won a day of heavy rain. Rain meters in Hanble, Hettur, Yeslur in Sakleshpur Taluk recorded 55.6 mm, 124.8 mm and 49.7 mm precipitation, in or 24 hours, which ended on Saturday at 8:30.
