
The Taverkere police registered the case against unknown people after a cow belonging to a farmer in the village of Suuura on the outskirts of the city was found with his perception on Friday.
According to police, the cow belonged to Maribasavaiah from the village of Sulivar and the incident came to light when several villagers noticed a cow lying in a pool of blood and wrinkling with pain on a nearby farm.
The villagers informed Maribasavaiah, who plunged into the place and called the veterinarian. The cow later died due to excessive bleeding, although the veterinarian tried in vain to save her performed by a surgery to stop the bleeding.
Maribasavaiah argued that Gurusiddappa, whose cow was dared to the farm, had a resentment against him for not voting in favor of his candidate in the local elections, and GurusiddaPpa committed a crime to avenge him.
