The Indian Government has launched Sindh’s operation to evacuate Indian nationals from Iran, due to the deteriorated situation as a result of the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel.
“At the request of the governments of Nepal and Sri Lanka, the evacuation efforts of the Indian embassy in Iran will also include the citizens of Nepal and Sri Lanka,” Indian embassy in Iran published on the X.
He added: “Citizens of Nepal and Sri Lanka can urgently address the embassy, either on a telegram channel or via emergency contact numbers.
On Saturday, the official spokesman of the Ministry for External Affairs (Mea) Randhir Jaiswal, 517 Indian nationals returned to India from Iran under the Sindhu operation. He added that a special flight from Turkmenistan Ashgabat bearing Indians from Iran landed 21 June in Nový Delhi.
