Telangan President Jan Samithi (TJS) and MLC Prof. M. Kodandaram demanded that the Center to stop the Polavaram-Banakacacherla Reference project, which Andhra Pradesh violated the Reorganization Act and without the assessment and approval of the Council for the Greeks and other legal agencies.
When he talked to newspapers on Friday, he suggested that the center could continue with the processing of the Polavaram-Banakacherlo project assessment to the water allocation for the tendavari basin, including the Basin of the Godavari, or it would mean violations of the Born rights on Telangana.
Kodandaram said that even President Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) K. Chandrasekhar Rao or his party leaders did not have the moral right to talk about the Polavaram-Banakacherl project. He also thought that Bharatiya Janata’s leaders of the state were silent about a project that was obliged to permanently damage the interests of Telangans.
AP has already used over 630 TMCFT against the allocation of 518 TMCFT water, while Telangana did not use half of the 968 TMCFT assigned in the Godavari basin. With the Polavaram-Banakacherla project, AP has been coupled to take more than 300 TMCFT more water to the Nedban areas at the cost of the Telangana basin.
Meanwhile, leader BRS T. Harish Rao criticized the main Minister A. Revant Reddy on Friday for his comments on the Polavaram-Banakacacherl project in Delhi. He accused the main minister that he came to a quiet understanding with his AP counterpart and the political guru of N. Chandrababa Naida to allow the AP to be illegally diverted by Krishna and Godavari into Nedban’s regions. He pointed out that KCR demanded, in addition to 968 TMCFT guaranteed water assigned telangana, in water disputes for Godavari water. Against the BRS requirement of 2,918 TMCFT Mr. Revanth Reddy Spikl to limit the share of telangans to only about 1,000 TMC FT, he claimed.
Similarly, Mr. Revant Reddy said that only 500 TMCFT shares in the waters of Krishna against 763 TMCFT, which he demanded all the time KCR. Mr. Harish Rao tried to know the justification of Mr. Reddy’s silence that he did not require the council of the peak on the problem of Polavara-Banakacher.
