The school academic calendar is almost complete

The Quality Improvement Program (QIP) Monitoring Committee meeting, which met online on Saturday, has almost finalized the academic calendar for the academic year 2026-27.

The academic calendar was discussed at the meeting with 800 teaching hours that correspond to 197 working days for lower elementary grades, 1,000 hours for upper elementary schools that include three additional Saturdays as working days in weeks without six consecutive working days, and 1,200 teaching hours for high school with seven additional Saturdays as working days in weeks without six consecutive working days.

However, this proposal was not opposed by any teachers’ organization, so it is likely to be finalized and approved.
