
Air India (CEO) CEO and CAPBELL WILSON (CEO) (MD) Campbell Wilson assured the public and employees that the air fleet – especially its Boeing 787 – remains safe to work after comprehensive inspections and that the carrier shifts maximum caution due to AI171 tragedy.
According to the report, neither Wilson said that further preventive checks on the Boeing 787 Air India operating fleet were completed according to the request of the General Directorate for Civil Aviation (DGCA).
“Was our aircraft be considered safe? Yes. We have completed further preventive checks of our Boeing 787 operating fleet, as DGCA, which has publicly declared that they meet the required standards,” Wilson said.
“As part of the abundant preventive measure, we have also voluntarily decided to continue further pre -flight inspections for now. Where there is a doubt that we will not issue airplanes for service – no type,” he added.
June 12, London Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crashed into the hostel complex BJ Medical College in Meghani Nagar in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad shortly after the take-off of international airport Sardar Vallabhbhai patel.

“We will continue to support those affected long after working in Ahmedabad, as our chairman said, these families are now Tata families,” added the CEO of Wilson.
“This applies to those of our colleagues that we will support in the same way. You may have read the social media comment on the perceived lack of the visibility of Air India in the service held for our colleagues. We can assure you that we were represented in all and each of them.
According to the report, the CEO also stated that Air India supports all, including employees who served in Ahmedabad after returning to a compulsory break and consulting base.
“Counseling services, which are confidential and provided by experts, are still available to everyone and I recommend that you use it,” he said.

“What happened? There are many theories, but because the accident is now on the basis of an official investigation of the Office for Aviation accidents, it is not appropriate for us to comment or speculate. We provide all information required AAIB and cooperate completely.
