
Three students have suffered serious injuries in an alleged ragging case that occurred on Thursday at Alamcode Government High Secondary School (VHSS) near Attingal.
The plus group of two students was accused of physical assault on the newly accepted plus one students. The school management suspended seven older students involved in the incident.
Nagaroor police, who started a preliminary probe by the incident, convened a meeting of representatives of people, school officials, representatives of the Association of Parents (PTA) on Friday. The school management has been given instructions to take steps to prevent these incidents in the future.
According to the complaint, the quarrel began when plus two students asked juniors to introduce themselves. The juniors did not respond loud enough, which allegedly caused seniors to attack. Plus plus students suffered injuries to their eyes and head. The incident was also damaged by a parked vehicle belonging to the teacher, police officials said.
