The rapid rise of Sai Sudharsan continued as the young Tamil’s dough debuted for India in the series against England in Headley, Leeds, June 20, joined the selected group of Indian giants – Sourav gangules, Rahul Dravid and Virat Kohli – who also earned their Maiden test cap on the same date.
The 21 -year -old left -handed became 317. The test cricket of India and won a cap from Cheteshwar Pujara, Statwart on No. 3 for more than ten years. Sudharsan is expected to take this position in the overwhelming order of the bats, with Shubman Gill to move to No. 4 and Rishabh Pant Slotting in No. 5.
His name already has three ODI caps and one T20i cap and his debut test will complete the set today. Sudharsan was a fertile running shooter in shorter formats – won the orange cap in the IPL 2025 – but in the first class cricket in the first class.

Sudharsan, who first appeared the home system Tamil Nadu, first appeared in 2021 Tamil Nadu Premier League and finished as the second highest running shooter. The following year, he debuted the ranji Trophy and since then has accumulated 1,957 runs in 29 first -class matches on average 39.93, including seven centuries.
In December 2019, Sudharsan was in tears after he was dropped from the team under 19 years of Tamil Nadu. His regional Stint with Surrey in the period 2023 and 2024 also provided him with valuable experience in English conditions.
