Minister of Defense Rajesh Kumar Singh on Thursday (June 19, 2025) conducted a telephone interview with the CEO of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, General Amir Baram and discussed the current situation in West Asia.
On 13 June 2025, the Ministry of Outside issued a statement that expresses deep concerns in recent development between Iran and Israel. “We carefully monitor the evolving situation, including reports concerning nuclear attacks. India urges both sides to avoid any escalating steps. Existing channels of dialogue and diplomacy should be used to work on de-schooling the situation and solving basic problems,” he said.
MEA said: “India has close and friendly relations with both countries and is ready to extend all possible support. Our missions in both countries are in contact with the Indian community. All Indian nationals in the region are recommended to proceed with caution, remain safe and observe the local security councils.”
