Press Secretary of the White House Karoline Leavitt on Thursday (June 19) sent a message from President Donald Trump on growing speculation on the involvement of the US in the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran.
At the beginning of her daily briefing, Leitt focused on the questions of the press corps about the attitude of the administration on the ongoing tension in the Middle East.
“I know that there were many speculations among all the media to decide President AO whether the United States would be directly (involved),” Leavitt said.
Then she read the quote of the President: “Based on the fact that there is a considerable chance of negotiations that may or may not be with Iran in the near future, I will decide whether to decide over the next two weeks.”
White House: Iran could build a nuclear weapon within a few weeks if ordered
Leavitt has issued a sharp warning that Iran already has all the necessary materials and abilities to build a nuclear weapon – and could do so in a few weeks if his management issued an order.
“Be very clear, Iran has everything she needs to achieve a nuclear weapon,” Leavitt said during briefing with reporters. “All they need is the decision of the Supreme Leader to do it.”
According to Leavitt, as soon as this decision has been made, it would take only a few weeks to complete the production of nuclear weapons.
“Of course, this weapon would be an existential threat not only for Israel, but for the United States and the world,” she said.
Comments come in the middle of increased tension between Iran and Western nations, with European diplomats preparing to meet Iranian officials at the end of this week.
The hospital in Israel hit when Iran launches a rocket strike
The tension reached a new maximum on Thursday, when Iranian missiles hit the Soroka medical center in South Israel, injured at least 80 people and harmful parts of the equipment. Overall, more than 240 people in the latest color were injured in the last Israel, which also focused on residential buildings near Tel Aviv.
And Israeli Warplanes launched fresh strikes deep on Iran’s territory and continued to campaign for demonstration of Iranian nuclear abilities.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he trusted Trump’s judgment. “I can tell you that they are already helping a lot,” Netanyahu said when he stood in the middle of broken glass and rubble outside the Medical Center Soroka in Beersheb.
Israel issues a direct threat to the Iranian Supreme Leader
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz held Iranian’s highest leader Ayatollah Ali Khamene directly responsible for attacks and issued a significant warning. “The army has been instructed and knows that in order to achieve all its goals, this man should not absolutely exist,” Katz said.
US officials reportedly said this week that Trump vetoed the Israeli plan to murder Khamenei, even though Trump later explained: “There are no plans to kill him – at least not for now.”
Israel expands the attack on the Iranian nuclear program
The Israeli campaign has already focused on the key Iranian nuclear and military assets, including:
- Place of enrichment of Uranus Natanz
- Centrifuge workshops around Tehran
- Nuclear devices in ISFAHAN
- Arak Heavy Water Reactor, which is assumed to be able to produce plutonium
The Israeli army said the strike on Arak was performed “to prevent reactor restoration and use for the development of nuclear weapons”.
A growing toll victim inside Iran
According to the Iranian Human Rights Group based in Washington, at least 639 people, including 263 civilians, killed Israeli strikes in Iran, including 263 civilians. Since the start of the campaign last Friday, more than 1,300 others have been injured with a surprising wave of nuclear devices and key staff.
Diplomatic channels can reopen
In the midst of military escalation, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced plans to travel to Geneva for emergency interviews with diplomats from the UK, France, Germany and the EU. This step suggests that a possible diplomatic window for the de-schooling of the crisis may occur.
Trump wants a “much larger” store
Despite the international fears Trump has so far resisted the challenges to hit militarily. However, he indicated that his goal exceeds the immediate effort for a ceasefire. “We don’t rule out anything,” he said. “But we want something much bigger than just a ceasefire.”
Iran warns us of “irreparable damage”
Iranian Supreme Leader warned Washington of direct military involvement and said that the US accession would lead to “irreparable damage”. Iran insists that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes, although its enrichment of uranium has reached 60% cleanliness-in-safe close levels of weapons levels.
