On Thursday (June 19, 2025), Bypolls took place in five constituencies in four countries. While two gatherings were held in Gujarate, each was held in Kerala, West Bengal and Pandjab.

The vote took place on the constituencies of Kadi (SC) and Visavadar in Gujarat, Nilamburu in Kerala, Ludhian West in Pandjab and Kaliganj in West Bengal.
The segment of the Nilambur segment in Kerala recorded the highest percentage of interviewing 73.26 % to 20:00, the lowest was recorded in Ludhian West (51.33 %) in Pandjab. Kadi saw the turnout 54.49 %, Visavadar (54.61 %) and Kaliganj (69.89 %).
Voting counting will take place on June 23.
While Bypolls in Kadi was necessary due to the death of the BJP MLA Karsanbhai Punjabhai Solandki, on the Visavadar armchair, it is resigned from Aam Aadmi and entering the BJP due to a seated member of Bhayani.
Keralino seat Nilambur was going to Bypolls for resigning PV Anvar. Mr. Anvar, twice from a chair with the support of the left democratic front (LDF) and then switched the sides to the United Democratic Front (UDF). He resigned as MLA after the differences with the main Minister Pinaraya Vijayan.
In Punjab’s Ludhiana, Bypolls take place due to the death of a seated member of AAP Gurpreet Bassi Gogi.
Bypoll on the seat of the Kaliganj Assembly in West Bengal was necessary due to the death of the Congress of Trinamool Mla Nasiruddin Ahamed.
According to the Indian Election Commission, several new initiatives started in these surveys.
The New Initiatives Include the Provision of Mobile Deposit Facility for the Electors at All Polling Stations, Upgraded Voter TurnuT Sharing Process Resulting in Faster Updation of the Approxing Polling Trends by Ensuring that Polling Station, WebCasting at 100 Per Cent of Polling Stations Ensuring Constant Vigil of the Poling Process and Individual Mock Poll Training of All Presiding Officers.
Also, a special summary revision (SSR) of the electoral cylinders was carried out for the first time before the first time almost two decades before the branch, ECI said.
