The airline owned by the Tata group described Kunde as a “respected colleague” and wrote on social media:
“We say goodbye to the first officer Clive Kunder – a young aviator full of promise, a respected colleague and a deeply respected member of the Air India family.”
Clive’s silent determination, grace and passion for flying brought him the admiration of anyone who was supposed to cooperate with him.
In their prayer and funeral service, the leaders of Tata Group and Air India stood in addition to their family, friends and loved ones – to honor their memory, shared their grief and offered strength in this incredibly difficult time.

Kundera’s last ceremonies took place at Sewri Christian Cemeter in the afternoon, after his deadly remains were brought from Ahmedabad.
Drying mourns held photos of a late pilot when they gathered to offer him the final farewell, a week after his tragic death in a crash. Previously, the coffin bearing its deadly remains arrived at the airport in Mumbai and his family was brought to his house in Sunetek City on RAM Mandir Road in Goregaon (West).

Friends, relatives and locals gathered in their residence to offer respect and later join the funeral procession. Kunder lived in Mumbai with his aging parents and a younger sister. His body was held in a family house until 13:00, before it was taken to the cemetery for final ceremonies.
The AI-171 flight from London Air India AI-171, bearing 242 passengers and crew members, crashed on June 12, resulting in the death of all except one on board with 29 people on Earth. The aircraft plunged into a complex of medical hostel in a densely populated area of Gujarat.

The unfortunate flight was Sumaet Sabharwal, with the first officer Kunder as his ko-pilot. According to the General Directorate for Civil Aviation (DGCA), Captain Sabharwal recorded 8,200 hours of flying experience, while Kunder had 1100 hours.
Boeing 787 Dreamliner took off from Ahmedabad Airport at 13:39. Shortly after take-off, Captain Sabharwal “Mayday” issued an emergency call-signized full emergency emergency control in Ahmedabad. A moment later, the plane crashed into a medical facility just outside the airport.
Captain Sabharwal, who was also the inhabitants of the Bombay, was laid on Tuesday to rest.
