On Wednesday (June 18, 2025) there was an inspection meeting chaired by Hibi Eden, a deputy to evaluate the progress in the field of reconstruction in Ernakula Junction, Ernakula Railway Stations.
Eden Eden, who expressed concern about the “delayed work progress” at Ernakulam Junction Station, said the project, which had a date in July 2025, was scheduled to re -enforce. Any further delay in completing the project would give commuting and the public to a serious inconvenience. He was looking for steps to impose a serious punishment in the original contractual company that did not meet the timelines for the reconstruction of the station and prevented water contamination. Railway officials stated that the steps were taken to the company’s blacklist.
They added that the reconstruction of the Ernakula intersection will be completed by January 2027. The rebuilt part of the station will be opened in December 2025.
Mr. Eden was looking for steps to position the Overbridge foot connecting the railway and metro station Thripunithura.
Among those who attended the meeting were TJ Vinod, MLA, S. Kannan, Gatisakti CEO and higher officials of engineering, building and commercial wings of railways. They also visited Ernakulam Junction and Town to see the progress of the works.
