Next year, a higher revision of the secondary curriculum will be introduced, said the Minister of General Education V. Sivankutty. He spoke in the inauguration of the “Warevelp”, plus one Praveshanolsavam, on the government model Boys Higher Secondary School, Thycaud, here on Wednesday.
The Minister said that the beginning of the plus one class would coincide with the launch of “Koodeyund Karuthekan” to equip students to survive the challenges. The government focused on organizing complicated mechanisms support not only for students, but also teachers and parents also through this program. The program will be carried out activities that support individual growth and development of students.
Schools should not only be premises that provide students with knowledge; They should be able to help students social, emotional and mental growth. The atmosphere in schools should be happiness and care. Every student must feel safe and sure that he enjoys all the support.
Counseling service
“Koodeyund Karuthekan” would include consulting services of experts, personal development class, awareness of cyber security and training in life skills. Teachers would also receive training to understand the emotional status of students and provide support. This would also help parents provide the right management at every stage of the child’s growth.
The Minister said that up to 3.15 Lakhy students began on Wednesday. After completing the additional assignment, all students would get a plus one entry.
