
Main Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced his fortress to face the neighborhood of Andhra Pradesh ‘to show the Banakaccharla-Polavaram project and claim it against the interests of Telangana.
The CM, which took part in the meeting of all parties on Wednesday, asked them to cooperate to adopt a unanimous resolution against the proposed project to put pressure on the central government to reach forward.
“We will stay on one page in the greater interests of people from Telangana. We will go through unanimous solutions through political lines,” he said, adding that he will meet Minister Union Jal Shakti CR on Thursday.
At the meeting it was decided that the problem would be raised at the next monsoon meeting of parliament next month. “We will meet all the ministers in question, including the Minister of Finance of the Union to oppose the project,” he said.
The project still needs environmental and other permits, and the ministers concerned would require them not to keep them. “I will stay in the new Delhi for three or four days if it is necessary to mount the pressure on the center,” he said.
The political battle would be followed by a legal battle, where the government is ready to give out the best lawyers to prevent their cause and to protect the interests of the state.
He claimed that the meeting was not for political purposes, said the basis for the Banakaccharla project was laid in 2019, when the then Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao assured the main Minister of AP Jagan Mohan Reddy to extend his cooperation in the efforts of the neighboring state to make Krisna and Pennan and Pennan.
“Mr. Rao and Mr. Jagan agreed to divert the 400 TMC FT Godavari Water to the Rayalaseem area in this direction,” he said.
