The State Office for the Catastrophe management has developed a web application for the collection and monitoring of debris and related information related to the wrecks that occurred off the coast of Keraly, said the main Minister of Pinarayi Vijayan.
When he focuses on a press conference on Wednesday, he said that the web application would collect information, including the name of the person who found an object, a mobile number, basic information about the found object, a live location where the object could be seen or the nearest landmark, and images.
On Wednesday morning, 65 containers were found along the Kerala coast in connection with the wreck. All containers were transferred to different ports. He said that 21 barrels found in the areas of Vishinjam and Kovallam in Thiruvananthapuram were moved to safe places in the port of Vishinjam.
Two barrels suspected of being associated with boat accidents were washed to the shore in the alphapad in Kollam and Kumbala Koipads in the Caragod.
The Singapore Raider MV Wan Hai 503, who set fire to the coast of Kerala, was currently moved to 57 naval miles from the Keraral coast. The work is going on to pull the ship further, even if the news suggests that the ship continues to release fire and smoke.
The containers that fell from the ship are likely to land in the southern part of Ernacula and on the coast of Alappuzha and Kollam in the coming days.
In such a situation, if there are suspicious objects on the beach, people should not touch them and stay at least 200 meters away. The State Authority for the Catastropic Administration should also be immediately alerted to the incident by dialing 112, he said.
