
The Jevitotsavam program has been developed to raise creative talents and personality of higher secondary students who are in their adolescence, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
At a press conference on Wednesday, the main minister said that activities that have been designed as practical and transformation challenges will take place for 21 days. At the end of the program, the State Integration Carnival entitled “Jeevitsavam 2025” will be organized.
Regarding the problem of abuse of addictive substances, Mr. Vijayan said as students and teachers, and parents should also be informed about the poor effects of drugs and other substances. The modules, which also included parents in educational programs, were prepared. Schools were provided with detailed instructions on how to remain in the emergency room of the problem of abuse of addictive substances and the functioning of “Janaiagratha samithis”.
The problem of drugs was included in school textbooks as part of a revised curriculum. Along with this was also a teenage education. The State Council for Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has brought specific textbooks to support a healthy lifestyle in children.
Teachers received training on how to recognize drug abuse and violence in children. Training would continue to equip teachers to provide preliminary counseling.
Anti-park clubs operated in schools with the support of excise duty in organizing programs to raise awareness of drug use and watching students. In selected schools were created brigades “Jagratha” with 30 to 50 students to coordinate different activities. Groups for solving drug -related problems were also involved.
Teachers were given strict instructions to report cases of addictive substances. The complaints received should be examined under the guidance of the teacher once a week and taken steps. They were also acquainted with physical activity such as Zumba to ensure the physical health of students, the main minister said.
