Cyberabad Civic Association gave nod for 45m Ameenpur Kaman-Gandhi Statue Road, 30m JJ Nagar-Komplally Road

The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) has approved plans to construct a 45-metre-wide road from Ameenpur Kaman to Gandhi Statue via Bandam Kommu Lake and a 30-metre-wide road connecting JJ Nagar and Kompally via Growmore Food Nursery near Fox Sagar Lake, both of which will involve acquisition of the affected properties based on feasibility assessment.

The proposals were part of a series of infrastructure, administrative and civic development initiatives approved on Saturday in the 4th regular meeting of the Standing Committee chaired by Special Principal Secretary for Urban Administration and Urban Development (MAUD), Jayesh Ranjan.

A total of 11 agenda items were presented to the Standing Committee. Among the major decisions was approval for the construction of a permanent office building for the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation near the Mudi Kunta lake in Khanamet village of Serilingampally mandal at an estimated cost of ₹161 crore.

The proposed headquarters will consist of a ground floor and eight-story structure with the possibility of future expansion up to the ground floor and twelve floors. The facility would serve as a centralized administrative center aimed at improving the administration and delivery of public services.

The committee also approved the involvement of support staff in land-use planning activities subject to rationalization of manpower requirements. Similarly, the involvement of technical and support personnel for engineering activities was approved, subject to the rationalization of manpower requirements, to strengthen project monitoring, field supervision, quality control and implementation of civil infrastructure constructions.

In the public health sector, the committee approved the implementation of a pilot entomology project involving the newly added city circles. The initiative includes manpower deployment, fogging operations, equipment procurement and mosquito control measures aimed at strengthening vector control efforts.

The committee also approved deployment of 14 bucket ladders on vehicles for branch pruning and tree maintenance in all zones. The project, estimated to cost around ₹ 5.7 crore, is expected to facilitate scientific maintenance of trees and improve urban green management.
