The Communist Party of India (Marxista) (CPI (M)) did not mean any political alliance with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at any point in history, said the State Secretary of Kerala MV Govindan.
He accused the unified democratic front led by Congress (UDF) and parts of the media “twisting” of their recent comments on the TV channel in terms of CPI (M), which was part of the Janata party during the emergency era, when Jan Sangh, predecessor Bharatiya Janata side was also part of Umbrel.
Mr. Govindan talked to Prespersons on Wednesday (June 18, 2025) on the eve of the essential Nilamburk’s bytection.
His comments led to the leaders of UDF, who repeated the accusation of understanding between CPI (M) and BJP, forcing LDF candidate M. Swaraj to explain the greater context of the alliance of the roofing during the emergency period.
Mr. Govindan said that in the face of “the semi -official government of the congress during an emergency during which democratic rights ceased to exist, parties of different shades met to resist him.”
“Several parties, including socialists and Swatantra Party, were part of this major alliance. CPI (M) never had its history with a direct political alliance with RSS or BJP. It would not happen in the future. He did not speak that he would not be spoken, that he was not talking, that he would not speak, that it would not have been said that CPI (m) would not.
Slams Congress
On the other hand, he accused Congress of having an election alliance with BJP and Sangh Parivar organizations several times. “After the liberated struggle even later in Vadakar and Bepore, Congress joined with Sanghe to beat LDF. However, we were able to overcome these challenges and win the elections,” he said.
Accused the congress of “white” Jamaat E-Islami, “although he never refused his original agenda to turn the nation into a theocracy.”
“For the first time, and Democratic Political Organization Has Allied with Jamaat e-Islami, WHICH IS ACTING AS A COUNTERPART TO THE RSS, WHICH IS IMPLMENTING AND HINDUTVA AGENDA IN THE COUNTRY. GAINS WILL HAVE LONG-TERM REPERCUSIONS FOR OUR POLITY AND THE STATE.
Mr. Govindan also claimed that Raj Bhavan was converted into a “nerve center of the community”.
“Photos of RSS Hedgewar and Golwalkar have now been placed in Raj Bhavan. We wonder if they would also place photos of gods and Savarkar, because RSS considers them more important than Gandhi,” he said.
He also criticized the recent remarks of Governor Kerala against the politicization of university institutions. “Rather than rejecting all politics, we should be able to equip our students with the right kind of policy. How else would we get the next generation of leaders for the country?” Mr. Govindan asked.
