Bharatiya Janata (BJP) on Tuesday (June 17, 2025) accused Congress and his allies of promoting their own families and creating divisions between castes in an effort to generate election profits.
“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he approved the Cabinet of Trade Unions National Census, which for the first time in independent India will include both socio-economic survey and a list of caste,” said MP and Sudhansh spokesman TRIVEDI.
He said that the aim of the government Modi was to ensure recognition, respect and confidence of all castes, especially those on the most distant margins.

Mr. TRIVEDI accused Congress of double standards for the census. “The NDA government led by BJP (National Democratic Alliance) in Bihar was performed in 2022 by an example of a caste -based survey. Ironically it was a congress that stopped caste -based listings in 1951.
The BJP leader claimed that Congress and his allies “want to devote all loyalty to their own families and for this purpose to stimulate the conflict between all sections.”
“After being so long in power, Congress should at least understand technical matters. The census announcement is issued by the Center. States cannot make a census, so the statement of the state refers? States can only conduct surveys.
He said that the government of the West Bengal included a large number of people from the Muslim community in the Other Back Class category (OVC), for which the Commission for Back Classes properly sought the response of the state government. “Of the total number of 179 castes of backward classes included in the list of state West Bengal, 118 castes of Muslims. Before 2011, the total number of back castes was 108, including 53 Muslims. politician ”.
