
The special investigation team of the police Meghalaya (SIT) on Tuesday carried out a detailed reconstruction of the crime scene related to the murder of Raja Raghuvanki, a newlywed entrepreneur who was killed during his honeymoon in Meghalaya. The reconstruction occurred in Sohra (Cherrapunji), with the accused Sonama Raghuvansehi and other other present, because the police tried to clarify the sequence of events leading to brutal killing.

Police Superintendent (SP) Vivek Syiem, East Khasi Hills, described the reconstruction as “very successful” and said the police now have a “very clear picture” of the offense.
Sit pulled the movements of the defendant, starting with the parking lot, where their two -rounds were held, moved to the sight where the murder occurred.
According to Syiem Syiem, the murder concerned three blows, which were delivered by various accused individuals: Vishal, Anand and Akash. The police confirmed that one more machete used in the attack remains unsurpassed, while the strength of the catastrophe response (SDRF) is actively looking for a weapon.
“We found that one more machete need to be restored. The accused played as they threw the machete. SDRF is trying to restore the second weapon,” SP Syiem said.

The investigation also revealed that Raja’s mobile phone was intentionally damaged by Sonam Raghuvanki and later Vishal after the murder. The accusations went again as they destroyed the phone and their subsequent departure from the crime scene.
“We found out what happened to Rajah’s mobile phone. It was damaged by Sonam and then Vishal. The whole thing happened and their departure,” SP Syiem explained.
Police confirmed that Raja Raghuvanki was first hit by Vishal, causing a fatal injury that Sonam moved away from the place. The three accused were then destroyed by Rajah’s body by throwing him away.
