Virtual queue system for Guruvayur temple darshan coming soon
Devotees visiting the Sreekrishna Temple, Guruvayur will soon benefit from a smoother and timed darshan experience, with the Devaswom set to introduce a trial online system (virtual queue). Announcing the move, Devaswom chairman AV Gopinath said the virtual queue is being implemented on an experimental basis to simplify crowd management and improve convenience for devotees.
He noted that this initiative is a precursor to the proposed facial recognition-based system planned by Devaswom. The decision was also taken in accordance with the directions of the Kerala High Court to ensure a hassle-free darshan. “The aim is to provide devotees with a more organized and convenient darshan,” he said.
Gopinath also said that the accounting section of the Devaswom has been fully automated, marking a step forward in administrative modernization. The introduction of the virtual queue is expected to significantly reduce waiting times and improve overall efficiency at the temple.
