Shardul was part of the Indian group that traveled in England in 2021-22. India led 2-1 in this series before the last test was postponed until the following year due to COVID-19. India, playing without a regular Captain Rohit Sharma, lost a pregnant test and the series ended 2-2.When Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli resigned from the cricket of the red ball, the young Indian side, now under the new captain SHUBMAN GILL, will face a heavy challenge in English conditions.“I think it is very exciting to play in this part of the world where you face different challenges. The first is of course the weather. Sometimes it is overcast, sometimes it is clear, sunny and as a player, you have to adjust your game, whether you burn or bowling,” he said in a BCCI video.“It is good to have the fresh energy in the team, several young people come and new talents are always exciting. Now that the English team also plays another kind of cricket. You know, we like to surprise them here to stand up, and it is always great to win the series away, far from home.Shardul thought about the previous Indian tour and called it “one of the most beautiful memories” of his career. During the series he played three tests, in the fourth test he took eight goals and scored two half century in the fourth test.
