
The Indian test team led by the newly appointed captain SHUBMAN GILL arrived in Leeds via the train from Beckenham 17 June before the first test against England in Headingley. The series of five matches begins with 20 June and refers to a new chapter for the Indian side of the red ball under the new leadership.
Shubman Gill, Kl Rahul, Yashsvi Jaiswal and Pace Spearhead Jasprit Bumrah were among the players who were seen who came to the Leeds station when the group began the final preparation for what promised to be a heavy combat series. The main test will be the first main challenge for this revised Indian party to enter the new era after retirement Stohit Sharma and Virt Kohli. The absence of an experienced duo means a significant generation shift and gives the added responsibility to the shoulders of the gills and other young leaders.
