20-year-old man arrested in Hyderabad for sexual assault

Medchal police arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with accusations of sexual assault, intimidation and electronic transmission of obscene material.

The accused has been identified as Sadhanala Santosh Kumar, a resident of Toopran in Medak district. He was taken into judicial custody.

According to the police, a zero FIR was initially registered at the Jawaharnagar police station on May 28 and was subsequently transferred to the Medchal police station on May 29 where a formal FIR was registered and an investigation started.

The victim’s statement was recorded. Police said the victim underwent a medical examination and the collected samples were sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Hyderabad for analysis.

As part of the investigation, the police seized a mobile phone and two tablets connected to the case.

Further investigation is underway.
