Star India Fast Jasprit Bumrah’s Fast Stitter opened up about his relationship with the new Indian Captain Shaubman Gill and the head coach Gautam Gambhir. Bumrah spoke to Sky Sports in an interview and revealed that he refused the BCCI offer to become a full -time Indian team, a position that was later given by Gill.
Bumrah said he had a great relationship with Shaubman Gill and was always open to giving thoughts if the captain needed them. Bumrah claimed that the captains needed their space and that as a senior, Senior should let SHUBMAN flourish instead of going too much in his ear.
“In my experience, you have to give freedom and you have to be there for players. I’m here whenever he needs me, in any capacity. I don’t want to jump inside, and if I see something, I would give a quiet word. I played cricket.
“If he needs something from me, I will always be for him,” he added.
Bumrah said that head coach Gautam Gambhir had a lot in the test team for what would have in the Indian transition period. Bumrah said that the Indian Touring Party of England is completely different and the coaching staff will have to be calm and patient to navigate these hard two months in a series of 5 matches.
Gambhir must be patient: Bumhrah
Bumrah opened on the style of Gautam Gambhir coaching and said it was a very individualistic nature where the coach went to each player and handed over his thoughts instead of talking in the group.
“It is a person who is very individualistic. He will have one -on -one cottage with a person where he feels he should intervene. You know when people go in one direction and have some thoughts about it. And players are nice and happy,” Bumrah concluded.
