Senior India Bowler Jasprit Bumrah said he refused the captain of the Indian test that offered him the Indian cricket council (BCCI) during the Indian Premier League. When he talked to Sky Sports and said he was managing his workload and had to be smarter to play for a long time.
Bumrah, which has been prone to injury for several years, has recently pulled out in the middle of the last Border-Gavascar trophy trophy test. The injuries were forced by Bumrah to miss the champions trophies, the one who won India under Rohit Sharma.
Bumrah said that BCCI wanted to take over the Indian team from the England series, much in front of Rohit Sharmou, and Virat Kohli called time for their career.
“Before Rohit and Virat retired-running IPL, I talked to BCCi that I discussed the workload in the future in the test series of five matches. I spoke to people who drive my back-we concluded we had to be a little smarter. The leaders, ”I decided that at the beginning of the narrative that I looked at the interview.
“Bcci looked at me at the leading role, but I had to tell them no, because it’s not ideal when someone leads for 3 tests, then someone else has to lead the rest of the tests. So it’s not fair for the team because I wanted to give the team first,” concluded Jasprit Bumrah.
AJIT AGARKAR version
Bumhrahov’s statement comes in sharp contrast to what the chairman of the selector Ajit Agarkar said at a press conference and announced Shubman Gill as the captain of the men’s test team.
Agarkar said that the Indian cricket council wanted Bumrah to concentrate on problems with workload rather than take the next burden of the captain of the test. Agarkar added that the decision was communicated by Bumrah and the rapid pitch was fine with the explanation that the advice gave him.
“Because he led in Australia, Bumhrah was more captain (in BGT 2024-25). Once he was not available for all test matches, I think he is more important to us as a player. We want him to lead him.
