
The FIFA Club 2025 World Cup released a dramatic afternoon when Chelsea dominated Group D with a 2-0 victory over Los Angeles FC, while Boca Juniors and Benfica created a fiery 2-2 draw in Miami Gardens.
Chelsea 2-0 Los Angeles FC – Group D
Chelsea launched its World Cup campaign in style and introduced a composite and confident performance to see from Los Angeles FC 2-0. The objectives of Pedro Net and Enzo Fernndz ensured victory because the London side dominated the proceedings from start to finish.
Opener arrived in the 34th minute. Neto caught on a perfectly respected long ball from Nicolas Jackson, turned Ryan Hollingssehead in with a smart Feint, and calmly released around Hugo Lloris.
Chelsea remained under control all the time and enjoyed 65.3% of holding and registration of 17 shots for seven LAFC. Their second goal came in the 79th minute when Liam Delap released for Fernndez, which ended with a tidy strike from a near range, a redirected cross.
The match was not without flash points – Neto and Denis Bouanga clashed just before the half and had to be separated. However, the dominance of Chelsea kept them firmly on both ends of the playground in the driver’s seat.
Neto and Jackson almost re -joined at the beginning of the second half, just for Timothy Tillman to intervene with a well -timed header. In the goal, Robert Snchez made four savings for three Lloris, while Chelsea also earned seven corners into one LAFC.
Boca juniors 2-2 benfica – group C
Boca Juniors and Benfica released one of the so far heated meetings of the tournament. In a game full of drama, goals and disciplinary problems, both sides shared prey after Benfica fought back from 2-0 down to save the draw.
Argentines hit the first in the 21st minute. The match was cooked again at 72 minutes when Andrea Belotti was released on a dangerous high shoe that hit Costa in the head. Yet, although the man is down, Benfica in the 84th minute pulled out the level. Otamendi grew the highest to fulfill the corner of Orkun KK and drive home an equalizer.
There was another drama because Boca was reduced to nine men after Jorge Figal was in the 88th minute shown in red. Despite their numerical disadvantage, the Argentines held on a certain place.
