Anganwadi children hospitalized after suspected food poisoning

As many as eight children from an anganwadi in Masabinal village of Vijayapura district were hospitalized after suspected food poisoning on Friday.

They complained of vomiting and diarrhea after eating. They were taken to the primary health center in Masabinal before being transferred to the district hospital. Everyone is out of danger. Officials from the Department of Women and Children’s Welfare visited the village. Deputy Commissioner K. Anand ordered an inquiry.
