The State Council for Electricity in Keral (KSEB), which is looking for orders to restore power supply from long -term design, building, financing, financing, own and operation (DBFOO), the State Regulatory Commission for Electricity Keral (KSERC) was rejected.
KSEB wanted the Commission to issue orders to restore an offer from Jhabua Power and Jindal India thermal power of the power of the commission issued on 29 December 2023. In the order of June 12, he noted that his order for 2023 was earmarked justified judge (Aptel) and the Supreme Court.
This question returns to the 10th May 2023, the Commission’s decision refuses to consent to long -term energy supply agreements in the total amount of 465 MW from Jhabua Power, Jindal Power and Jindal India Thermal Power, which is referred to in irregularities.
Govt. hits
Given the energy crisis this year, the government issued a government, which referred to Section 108 of the Electricity Act, for the Commission for the Restoration of the Contracts of the Political Directive. The Commission met the government’s request through the December 2023 order.
Subsequently, Jhabua Power and Jindal India Thermal Power questioned this order in front of Aptel. The KSEB noted that the third company Jindal Power did not question the order and was therefore obliged to restore the delivery under the terms of the contract.
Later in 2024 Aptel and the Supreme Court confirmed the original order issued by the Commission in May 2023, with a decline in approval of contracts in the total amount of 465 MW. In this context, the Commission has now rejected the petition of the KSEB.
