India vs Sri Lanka first ODI shifted from Delhi to Visakhapatnam amid AQI concerns
The Board of Control for Cricket in India has shifted the first One Day International between India and Sri Lanka from Delhi to Visakhapatnam. The match was scheduled for 13 December and was moved following a request by the Delhi and District Cricket Association citing potential weather disruption, severe air pollution and proposed renovation work at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Delhi has faced suspensions in the past during winter matches involving visiting teams such as Sri Lanka and Bangladesh due to toxic air quality index levels.
