Social media users had mixed reactions.

Using Arijita Singha AI voice: Is it legal?
YouTuber may not be aware that in 2024 Arijit Singh filed a case against the use of AI to imitate his voice. And he won the case.
The Bombay High Court, while calling it “technological exploitation”, gave Singh’s temporary relief in his case of copyright against platforms AI for abuse of his voice and image. According to the court, the use of someone’s voice or face without permission violates their personality of the right.
“It also undermines their ability to prevent commercial and misleading use of their identity,” the court said in its decision.
