The Chief Minister of Telangany A. Revant Reddy announced that this academic year will be open 571 new government schools in rural and urban areas with more than 20 children, which means a major expansion of the educational approach.
The main minister revealed this to the audit meeting with higher officials on Friday after the re -opening of schools.
He stressed the importance of integrating skills development with academic learning. “Children should not only acquire language skills, but also be equipped with practical high school skills. This will help them excel in their selected fields later in their lives,” he said. He added that the curriculum should be reoriented to make students more confident and prepared for a career.
He ordered the officials concerned to create a mechanism aimed at providing qualitative education to all students enrolled in schools in the government. Emphasis should focus on strengthening the teaching standards and the education system should include, in addition to languages and knowledge about the subject, to include skills development courses.
Given the rapid urbanization, which was witnessing the state, the Ministry of Education should coordinate with the department of the municipal administration to establish schools in areas set aside for social infrastructure in the HMDA city layout, he said.
Steps should be taken to rationalize educational institutions up to the middle level, operating the SC, ST, BC and minority departments, so a specified number of students were present in the classes. Given that a large number of students preferred residential schools due to quality food, study material and other provisions, officials should examine the scope of expanding these facilities to daily scholars.
Students should also be given their social responsibility to appear as responsible citizens.
