The state government nodded at the plant biogas (CBG) project to Njeliyanparamba four months after it was designed. The project will be performed by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) at the cost of CRORE 99 GBP.
The plant may take two years to take place. Kozhikode Corporation decided to rent around eight acres in Njeliyanparamba for an annual rental of 1,000 GBP for 20 years, during which it will be completely under BPCL.
The plant will have the capacity to process 150 tonnes of organic waste per day and produce up to six tons of CBG and approximately 25 tons of organic fertilizers. There is a plant for management of organic waste that produces organic manure.
The design of the CBG race appeared after the company terminated the contract with Zonta Infratech for the planned project of waste on the spot. The project was eliminated after the company did not complete the basic bioming and the limitation of work in four years. There was also another problem after a fire in the waste treatment plant in Brahmapuram in Kochi, which he was driving at the time.
The CBG plant creates renewable energy from organic waste, and generated gas is pure fuel that can be used instead of compressed natural gas in vehicles, industries and commercial equipment. All types of organic waste can be used to produce a biogas, which is then cleaned and compressed for CBG production.
