Rajiv Nath, forum coordinator of the All India Medical Device Association (AiMeD), said: “By expanding authorized import gateways, the government is addressing critical logistics and regulatory hurdles while promoting efficiency, competitiveness and timely access to medical products. We hope it will also enable access to exports. Strong controls are essential, but excessive or duplicative processes may undermine a regulatory initiative that should achieve greater efficiency rather than an intelligent goal.”
