The Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah appealed to the center to take urgent steps to help the mango of the state farmers, as the prices of fruit drop sharply this season, causing financial losses to growers.

In a letter by the Minister of the Union for Agriculture, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Mr. Siddaramaiaha, who was Delhi 13.

The main minister also wrote: “During the top season of the harvest in May to July, the arrivals on the heavy market led to unsustainable price fluctuations. The main minister said thousands of small mango farmers face huge losses and cannot even cover the basic costs of agriculture.
Mr. Siddaramaiah warned that farmers’ protests were growing and the situation could get worse unless fast measures are taken.

If rapid and effective intervention is not carried out, this crisis may lead to serious economic consequences in the region,” said the letter addressed to the Union Minister.
